Welcome to Stanford & Bean Farm

At Stanford and Bean Farm, we care deeply about our planet, the food we grow, and the people we serve. With over 100 years of history, we are a family farm committed to sustainable, regenerative farming practices that promote soil health, restore biodiversity, and create a better future for all. We believe that regenerative farming is the best way to feed ourselves and future generations while protecting our environment.

What We Do

We are passionate about the planet and its future. By practicing regenerative farming, we focus on restoring and enhancing the earth's natural processes, ensuring that we leave the land better than we found it. Our commitment to sustainability is unwavering, and we do not settle for less. Whether you're interested in learning more through our workshops or experiencing our hands-on training, we invite you to be a part of this exciting journey.

Our farm isn't just a place to grow food—it's a place to grow community, knowledge, and solutions. Through our educational programs and workshops, we empower individuals and businesses to make meaningful, positive changes in how they approach farming and food production.

Our mission

We believe that regenerative farming offers the best hope for feeding ourselves and our communities without destroying the planet. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and lead by example in the sustainable agricultural practices that nourish both the land and the people who depend on it. We are dedicated to restoring and regenerating the earth’s natural systems through conscious, thoughtful farming.

Our vision

We envision a world where regenerative farming is the norm—not the exception. Our goal is to see thriving ecosystems, healthy soil, and clean air and water, all supported by agricultural practices that are kind to the planet. We aim to restore the original strength of the earth’s natural resources while creating sustainable food systems for future generations.

What is Regenerative Farming?

Regenerative farming is a holistic, life-promoting approach to farming that improves soil health, restores biodiversity, enhances water quality, and reduces harmful environmental practices. It’s a method of farming that goes beyond sustainability—regenerative farming actively works to restore and regenerate the land by renewing ecosystems and fostering resilience. This approach benefits not only the land but also the surrounding communities and future generations who depend on it.

Training & Workshops

We offer hands-on, practical workshops designed to provide continuous, measurable improvements for both novice and seasoned farmers. Our training sessions focus on a wide range of essential topics to support growth and success in regenerative farming, including:

  • Enterprise budgets

  • Record keeping and business planning

  • Risk management

  • Marketing strategies

  • Produce safety and post-harvest handling

  • Regenerative farming principles and techniques

  • And much more!

Each workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as sustainable farmers and entrepreneurs. Upon completing six or more of our in-person or virtual workshops, participants receive a Certificate of Completion, which can serve as a valuable credential in the farming and agriculture community.

Our History

Stanford and Bean Farm has deep roots in agricultural tradition. The farm was started more than 108 years ago by Jewell Stanford-Bean's grandfather, Jesse Stanford, and grandmother, Rena Black-Stanford. Over the generations, the farm has been passed down through the family, with Jewell and her husband, Russell Bean, continuing the legacy of sustainable farming, agricultural education, and community outreach.

We are proud of our heritage and the lessons passed down through the generations. Today, Stanford and Bean Farm continues to honor the work of those who came before us, focusing on education, community, and environmental stewardship.

Join Us in Regenerating the Earth

We invite you to be a part of the Stanford and Bean Farm family. Whether you are looking to learn, grow, or get involved, we believe that together we can make a real difference. Through our regenerative farming practices, educational workshops, and community outreach, we are working to restore the land and help create a more sustainable future for everyone.

Join us in our mission to regenerate the earth, one farm at a time.
